	Grontmij | Carl Bro s.r.l. is a Romanian based consulting engineering company, 100% owned by Grontmij | Carl Bro Denmark founded in March 2006. The company maintains permanent offices in Bucharest, providing the required office space for the permanent staff. All staff is equipped with state of the art hardware and software and they are enjoying a full secretarial support. Invoicing, payments, accounting and budget follow up are ensured through a separate accounting service. Grontmij | Carl Bro s.r.l. is working towards its certification under ISO 9001. Grontmij | Carl Bro s.r.l. provides multidisciplinary technical assistance to public and private clients, Romanian and International, for the:  Development of large scale infrastructure,  Management of projects financed by the European Commission and other IFIs,  Development of environmental management and protection studies. The company is authorized to provide services for studies, design and technical documentations. Organisation and Staff Grontmij | Carl Bro s.r.l. employs a number of permanent staff and is able to draw ad hoc resources as appropriate from the Romanian market. Staff resources are identified and contracted on the basis of their higher education background, their competence in the specific area of expertise and their proven commitment for delivery of a product in the desired quality and in time. Services and Procedures Through its way to EU accession, Romania has been receiving massive assistance from the EC through different programmes and initiatives, mainly under Phare and ISPA. Since its establishment, CARL BRO srl has been involved on consulting engineering projects dealing with the preparation and implementation of heavy investments in the public infrastructure, including the development of water resources, water quality, water supply, wastewater collection and treatment, industrial effluent management, environmental planning and institutional capacity building of Public Utilities in the management of such infrastructure in major urban areas. The implementation of such services require multidisciplinary expertise including structural engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, environmental impact assessment, wastewater treatment process engineering, procurement of public works in accordance with EC, international and National regulations, hydraulic modelling and design etc. References: Since its establishment, Grontmij | Carl Bro srl has supported Grontmij | Carl Bro in the following contracts: Technical Assistance for the procurement and management of the EU-ISPA Contracts in the town of Buzau. March 2004 – on going .Consultancy services provided to Grontmij | Carl Bro International include:  Preparation of preliminary design study and tender documents for the works and the supervision of the Rehabilitation of the Buzau Wastewater Treatment Plant. Tender Documents drawn on the basis of FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build. Preparation of Detailed design studies for the rehabilitation and extension of the water supply system including replacement of some 50 km of the water supply network, extension with 5 km, installation of 7,000 water meters, rehabilitation of pumping stations and water disinfection plants. Preparation of tender documents for the works based on FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction (Red Book). Preparation of detailed design studies for the rehabilitation and extension of a sewerage network including cleaning and rehabilitation of 11 km of wastewater collectors, extension of the sewerage network by 25 km and construction of 5 retention basins. Preparation of tender documents for the works based on FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction (Red Book). Procurement of equipment for flow measurement, sampling of wastewater and leakage control. Preparation and translation of technical specifications for materials structures and services related with large engineering works, preparation and translation of operating manuals, maintenance guidelines, training manuals for the use of technical equipment. Technical Assistance and Supervision for the EC ISPA Contracts in Pitesti ISPA measure 2003 RO 16 P PE 026. Total value of designed works is 37 Million EUR.
