Grontmij | Carl Bro has a profound experience in food safety and food quality projects covering a broad range of disciplines such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Hygienic Practice (GHP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and own check systems based upon Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles as well as food inspection systems.


As the food chain from “farm to fork” is complex, the projects are implemented with assistance from various expertise areas to provide a multidisciplinary approach for benefit of our customers.

Parts of our international experience have been built up in projects covering elaboration of food legislation complying with the EU legislation taking the legal structure in the individual country into consideration.
We have also experience in the practical implementation of amended legislative requirements and related institutional set up. Our expertise in food safety is applied to strengthen the food industry as well as the Competent Authorities covering Veterinary, Phytosanitary and Sanitary fields.

Grontmij | Carl Bro supports capacity building such as policy making, establishing models for monitoring and inspection of food production including laboratory analyses. We also provide Training Needs Assessment and training programmes within specific technical fields aimed at various target groups.
