Lalandia Billund will be Northern Europe’s most attractive and modern tropical holiday and amusement park. Grontmij | Carl Bro is the total consultant on the project.
The holiday centre, once it is complete, will comprise 135,000 m2 of holiday village with a total of 1,500 architect-designed holiday cottages and around 40,000 m2 of tropical waterpark and amusement park, including a wellness centre, minigolf, skating rink, bowling, sports hall, shops and restaurants.
Behind Lalandia Billund are PARKEN Sport & Entertainment and REKA Gruppen, two of Denmark’s most successful players within the sports and entertainment industry and operation of holiday centres and amusement parks.
A broad range of engineering disciplines Grontmij | Carl Bro’s planning groups are responsible for all the engineering disciplines associated with the construction of both the amusement park and the tropical waterpark. Grontmij | Carl Bro is also responsible for site development of the land areas for the holiday cottages, including utilities, lighting, roads and paths, as well as inspection and acceptance of the completed holiday cottages.
The first stage of the project is expected to be completed by April 2009. Grontmij | Carl Bro will use 3D planning and project web throughout the project.
