Grontmij | Carl Bro has been selected as one of the main players when the huge Gilleleje Spa & Wellness Resort is built. FRIIS & MOLTKE will be responsible for design and planning.
The client is the privately-owned Finnish Sunborn Corporation.
The company’s hotel division has over 30 years’ experience of luxury hotel operation, with hotels, restaurants and spa resorts in Finland, Germany and the UK.
Gilleleje Spa & Wellness Resort will be a 5-star holiday resort that will include a hotel with 200 rooms, gourmet restaurants, conference centre, bars, tourist shops and a spa and wellness area offering a wealth of activities.
The resort will contain over 2000 m² atmospheric baths, saunas and special baths. The wellness section will contain a treatment room, where guests can have a massage or body and skin treatments of various kinds. A fitness centre will also be established.
The conference centre will contain meeting rooms and a multi-use conference hall with seating for 500 conference guests.
Construction will be complete by the end of 2009.
