POLAND, AUDIT OF PROJECTS EXCEEDING EUR 100,000

Following the extensive flooding in Poland and other Central European countries in July and August 2001, the Flood Damage Reconstruction Programme 2001 was designed and partly financed by the European Commission. The programme consisted of Small-Scale Infrastructure Projects and Technical Assistance for monitoring, auditing and evaluation.
This project comprised auditing of Small-Scale Infrastructure Projects exceeding EUR 100,000.Grontmij | Carl Bro a|s audited some 100 projects and the activities comprised:
- Elaboration of audit methodology
- Visits at construction sites
- Visits to the beneficiary offices and local authorities
- Evaluation Report for individual projects and summary reports.
The audits emphasized on the procurement, implementation and payment procedures used by the implementing agencies and authorities.
