LEBANON, TECHNICAL AND PROCUREMENT ASSISTANCE TO LEBANESE HIGHWAY

Grontmij | Carl Bro has been recently contracted by the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the provision of long term Technical Assistance to the Project Management Unit established at the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR). The project consists of improvements to two main road corridors linking Lebanon and Syria, which are crucial for trade development between the two countries and the region.

The range of procurement advisory and implementation services provided by Grontmij | Carl Bro in the framework of this contract include:

  • Overseeing the detailed design and bid document preparation
  • Carrying out all project procurement activities in abidance to donor’s guidelines
  • Ensuring that procurement related issues are timely and efficiently processed and adequately communicated to relevant stakeholders (CDR, MoW, Funding Agency, etc.)
  • Assisting the CDR in commissioning site supervision mandates and site handing over
  • Contract management
  • Monitoring and evaluation of procurement implementation activities
  • Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual contract and project progress reports.
