ESTONIA, HEALTH CARE WASTE MANAGEMENT STRATEGY	11/08/2003
	Overview of present situation and recommendations as to a future HCWM strategy including a detailed implementation plan. On a national level, the project will establish an overview of the present health care waste situation in hospitals, clinics and at private doctors including dentists and veterinary clinics. Based on this, recommendations will be made for a comprehensive future Health Care Waste Management Strategy including a detailed plan for implementation of the practical procedures. The project will produce the following outputs: A. General overview of the existing health care waste management situation. B. Forecast on future health care waste generation. C. Possible solutions and or improvements measures described and assessed. D. Selection of the "Best Available Management Strategy" including a detailed description of how to implement the strategy in practice. Included in the above outputs will be several workshops with representatives from all relevant ministries and institutions (hospitals etc.), constituting the Project Co-ordinating Unit.
