THE PURCHASE OF CARL BRO APPROVED	17/08/2006
	On 12 July 2006 the Dutch engineering consultant Grontmij signed an agreement to take over the shares in Carl Bro a/s from the present shareholders, including Bure Equity AB and LD. The transaction was conditional on the approval from Grontmij’s shareholders and the relevant competition authorities. The purchase has now been cleared with the relevant competition authorities, and the Grontmij shareholders approved the transaction at an extraordinary shareholder meeting held on 17 August 2006. The meeting also approved Carl Bro CEO Birgit W. Nørgaard as a member of the Group Management for the new company. The change of ownership is expected to take place by the end of August 2006. The new company consisting of Grontmij and Carl Bro will rank as number five among Europe’s engineering consultants, measured by turnover. The combined turnover will amount to some 720 million EUR, and the company will have around 7,000 employees. Grontmij was founded in 1915. In 2005 the company had a turnover of EUR 441.5 million. The company is listed on the Euronext Stock Exchange in Amsterdam.
