The development of the Flintholm area is proceeding apace, and in a few years the area will be transformed into a completely new area containing housing, institutions, shops, services and green lungs. Grontmij | Carl Bro is providing consultancy services for these areas, which are numbered 2B and 2C.
Grontmij | Carl Bro has entered into a comprehensive agreement with the project development and property company, JM Danmark A/S. The project includes around 200 luxury dwellings, business premises, shops and multi-storey car parks at Frederiksberg, close to the new Flintholm Station. The luxury housing will comprise 5-6 storey buildings with penthouse apartments at the top. The total floor area for areas 2B and 2C amounts to approximately 25,000 m².
Planning of area 2C is starting immediately, and construction is expected to begin at the end of 2008. The planning of area 2B will then follow. Architects are Holscher Arkitekter A/S.
“The area around Flintholm Station is undergoing full development. The area is being transformed from a former industrial area to an exciting and recreational district, featuring luxury housing and proximity to the Metro and S-train, access to parks, etc. Being part of this development is fascinating,” says Søren Larsen, Divisional Director for Building and Project Management at Grontmij | Carl Bro.
Grontmij | Carl Bro has previously planned the housing project Åhavnen at Køge for JM Danmark A/S. The company has also carried out commissioning and purchaser consultancy for the building projects Sekstanten, Lanternen and Kompasset.
